Kay is teaching a
fused glass workshop at her house in Visalia, CA
on the 1st Sunday afternoon of each month. The class is for beginners and
intermediates. First you will learn the basics about fusing glass and
specifics about dichroic glass. You will make 2-5 pieces in this 4 hour
workshop, some of which will be fired by the time the class ends. The rest
will be available in a day or two for pick-up or mailing. All the findings
for pendants, earrings, key rings, tie tacks, tie bars, and bracelets are
available at the class.

Kay Gaston began working with fused
dichroic glass and immediately became enthralled with the possibilities. The dichroic coating has a luminescent glow and every time the kiln opens it is full of surprises. “It’s like quilting a patchwork but with glass”.
